About Us

There is a difference when joining our Big Blue Collective. There always has been. We started to be different and do it differently to the “others”. For us it was always about the environment, the experience, the adventure, the moment and most of all small groups. Some days are better than others for some things and some days are only bad for some activities. Some places are only truly accessible and amazing at certain times. Our local knowledge of deciding where and when to go is always done while balancing the current conditions with the expectations and comfort level of our guests. Many of our best experiences happen precisely because we are open and ready for anything to happen and are prepared to take advantage of the opportunities natures’ random magic presents us with. We are driven by our collective passion to connect and interact with the watery world that surrounds us and makes up every part of these islands we call home. In one way shape or form we love to get out there; be it underwater on the reef, out in the open ocean with dolphins, paddling deep in the mangroves, using the wind to ride across the turquoise flats or missioning on a boat to some remote island. Sharing our love for of these islands is what drives us to improve, learn and evolve year on year. We are guides at heart, committed to showing you the absolute best these islands have to offer. We know where, to go, when to go and where to find the magic. Above all else, we love what we do. Join us. Experience the difference. Escape the ordinary.

We did an amazing day trip (edge of the banks) with the Big Blue Collective. We did 2 snorkeling stops at different sides of Providenciales, 2x snorkeling with a humpback whale (keeping respectful distance) and a lunch break at West Caicos. The crew was super nice, fun and very knowledgeable and we had a fantastic day!

Full day Edge of the banks tour was great! It was unusually windy for us and appreciate the service upgrading the tour to a bigger boat to help. Captain Jake and first mate were amazing, and really really LOVE whales ;-). They adjusted stops to best align with the conditions and were a trove of information on T&C! Highly recommend

Our Half-Day Eco + Snorkel Tour with Big Blue Collective was absolutely unforgettable. From start to finish, Nadja, Ryan, Amanda, and Sherline went above and beyond to make this one of the best experiences of our trip. Right away, Ryan made our first snorkeling experience incredible. Within minutes he guided us directly to sea turtles, which was something we never imagined we’d see so quickly. Ryan was not only an amazing guide in the water, but also incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about the ocean. He explained so much about the marine life we were seeing, and you could tell he truly loves what he does. Nadja, Amanda, and Sherline were equally fantastic. The entire team made us feel comfortable, safe, and excited the whole time. Their energy, kindness, and professionalism made the experience feel personal and special. It truly felt like we were exploring with experts who cared about making the day memorable for us. When we visited Half Moon Bay, the education about the mangroves was fascinating. Nadja, Ryan, Amanda, and Sherline shared so much information about the biology of the mangrove ecosystem and why it’s so important. We learned more in that short time than we expected and loved how passionate they all were about protecting the environment. This tour was our first snorkeling experience, and because of Nadja, Ryan, Amanda, and Sherline, it exceeded every expectation we had. Their knowledge, patience, and enthusiasm made the whole trip fun, educational, and unforgettable. If you’re considering a tour with Big Blue Collective, don’t hesitate. Nadja, Ryan, Amanda, and Sherline are an incredible team, and they made this adventure truly special for us. We can’t thank them enough for such an amazing experience!

For my first trip to Turks and Caicos, I did a kiteboarding lesson and the Edge of the Banks snorkel adventure. My 2 hour private kiteboarding lesson was with Lou (and Tom graciously kept checking in on us to help take photos/videos and made sure we stayed hydrated in the heat!). Lou was super patient and an amazing instructor and even though I have never done any board sports and don’t know how to fly a kite, I am officially addicted and can’t wait to try it again! I did the Edge of the Banks tour with Gus and Kay, both who were very informative and made the excursion super fun. We had a small private group on a beautiful day. Kay took us out and we saw sea turtle, many fishes including barracuda, little jellyfishes and a lot more sharks than I anticipated but they were beautiful and with Kay, he always made our group feel safe! The water was so many shades of blue and they always had snacks for us when we got out of the water! The lunch was delicious as was the rum punch. Yes these adventures are on the pricier side on the island, but I would do them again in a heartbeat and I promise you they are definitely worth it!

Our family just got home from our first Turks adventure, and Big Blue was THE HIGHLIGHT of our trip. Tom, Lou & Dario with Big Blue Kiteboarding offered a superb experience start to finish, even sending videos afterwards. Our only regret is that we didn't spend more time with Big Blue while in Turks. Big Blue is by far and away the premier outfitter for adventure on the water...book with them!
