Caicos Catalyst

Had a great experience on the METTA. Had originally booked a half-day charter but bad weather forced a cancellation. Happily we got rebooked for a sunset cruise later in the week. Captain Sam is a very accomplished sailor (as well as a physician) who is happy to share his sailing vessel/home. And sail we did, with engines off and wonderful quiet! Sam helped us plan a fun excursion in spite of the windy weather and was an interesting storyteller. First mate Mike served great drinks and a nice cold buffet when not helping out with the sails. Our group of 12 was well taken care of. The swim platform made it the easiest catamaran to get on and off of for swimming in our experience. The sea scooters made getting around in the water easy for tentative swimmers. Nice seating in sun or shade on deck too. Bathrooms first rate. And sunset was spectacular. Highly recommend a charter on this vessel.

Wow! What a great day on the catalyst catamaran. Captain Scooby and first mate EJ were the absolute best. They took us to places around the island that were very unique and not over crowded. The lunch was beautifully prepared by captain Scooby and EJ. The drinks were nice and cold in the cooler as well. Highly recommend Caicos Catalyst sailing excursions.

Had a wonderful half day trip yesterday on the Slat Cat. Scooby was our captain and Mikey was first mate. They both did an excellent job. We are avid snorkelers and adventurers and got to visit and jump off the La Famille Express shipwreck, snorkel off Pine Cay, and outside the reef off Grace Bay. Highlights of the trip were spotting and being able to jump in to swim / snorkel with a pod of dolphins on the way to Pine Cay. Mikey makes some excellent rum punches, and dark and stormies. Both he and Scooby were fun to spend the half day with, knew what spots to recommend, and took good care of us including making it super easy to get on and off. Great day boating and highly recommend it to anyone looking for some adventure, snorkeling, and to see more of the island.

Most amazing Day. Ahmad and Ali were so welcoming and fun. Ali snorkeled with us and took pictures and videos with our underwater camera- got shots we were not skilled enough to get. So appreciative of that. Ahmad got in the water at one point to find a sand dollar for my partner as we couldn’t find one. And he did! We were made to feel comfortable from the first step onto the boat. Drinks and food provided were perfect, especially the Rum Punch. Well worth the cost!! Thanks so much for giving my partner and I a day to remember!
