Welcome to SURFside Ocean Academy – an eco adventure company and ocean-based licensed school specializing in kayak and SUP rentals and ecotours, private guided snorkel tours with an emphasis on sea turtle education and marine life, kids SEA camps and more. We are 100% Turks and Caicos Islander owned and operated. Our emphasis is on sustainable marine-based activities and watersports to help foster an appreciation for and better understanding of the environment, people and places of Turks and Caicos Islands. We are small groups only (max 8 on any kayak ecotour, 6 on any SUP ecotour) but do have larger private group options up to 30 persons. We are also certified/licensed in all that we deliver (ie, are lifeguards, paddleboard instructors, kayak guides, swim teachers, and so on). Based in Providenciales, we also offer swimming lessons, have a professional childcare service, and are the Lifesaving Society Affiliate for TCI.

2 years agoWent kayaking in the mangroves of Alexandria National Park in 2 x 2 man kayaks with our kids. We are all beginners and our guide helped us to get across the straight of water over to mangroves where we saw over 30+ turtles! Morgan our guide was very safety aware and we even had another guide with us meaning we were 1:1. Morgan showed us turtle after turtle, iguanas, conch, needlefish and talking is through the mangrove ecosystem. Highly recommended!

6 months agoMorgan, Chane and Tresh were phenomenal! My husband was hospitalized unexpectedly while on vacation and they stepped right in and helped me more than I could have ever imagined. Morgan is an owner who truly cares and goes above and beyond to help her clients. I wish I could give them 50 STARS!!!

5 months agoFive stars for Surfside Ocean Academy! Morgan was a pleasure to work with! We are a couple who likes a slower pace, smaller group and more calm excursions and Morgan delivered. On our kayak tour we saw sea turtles, conch, various fish and birds, the beautiful mangroves and water ways of TCI. If you're on the fence about which tour to book with, here's your answer, choose Morgan!

4 years agoHad a wonderful tour of the mangrove forest and saw tons of sea turtles in Provo! Friendly and knowlegable guide and gorgeous location! Would highly recommend!

3 years agoWe loved our private boat charter with Captain Byron. This was such a special way to get around to amazing spots on the island with our young children. We learned a lot about the history, nature and culture of the island from Byron. We also were so appreciative of Morgan’s attention to detail and flexibility in getting us set up for a great day. We had initially booked a day where the seas ended up being a bit rough, so she offered to push it to a day with better conditions. She also made sure to stock snacks for the boat that we would all enjoy.
